MVRTD (The Bus – Rutland)
ACTR and MVRTD collaborate to provide the Rutland Connector Route Monday through Saturday. To contact MVRTD go to thebus.com or call 802-773-3244.
Go Vermont provides a website and ridesharing database to help commuters and travelers get around. They offer free carpool matching and vanpool services, and statewide bus routes, as well as free Go Vermont resources. The Guaranteed Ride Home Program gives commuters peace of mind. The following Park & Ride facilities are served by ACTR and can also be used for ridesharing:
- Leicester: Next to town office on Leicester-Whiting Road
- Salisbury: Junction of Maple St. and West Salisbury Rd., just off Rte. 7
- Middlebury: Middlebury Storage on Exchange St.
- New Haven: Behind Town Hall on North St.
- Starksboro: Behind Town Hall, Rte. 116
- Ferrisburgh: Junction of Rte. 22A and Rte. 7
- Hinesburg: Behind Town Hall, Rte. 116
The Park & Rides listed below are available for ridesharing. As ACTR’s system expands these facilities will also be served.

- Cornwall: Town Office parking lot, Rte. 30
- Panton: Town Office, Jersey St.

Overnight parking spaces are available in downtown Middlebury behind the Ilsley on the lower level.

Megabus and Greyhound
Megabus and Greyhound offer daily inter-state bus service from Burlington locations. For more information go to us.megabus.com or greyhound.com. The 116 Commuter stops a block away from the Megabus stop on the UVM campus. The LINK connects with GMT local routes that connect with Greyhound stops at the Burlington International Airport.
Burlington International Airport
Once in Burlington via the M-F or Saturday LINK, from Cherry Street, use GMT Routes #1 and #12 to get to the airport. This takes approximately 30 minutes. Visit ridegmt.com for schedules.
Southern Vermont Regional Airport (Rutland)
From Middlebury, you can take the Rutland Connector and connect with the MVRTD Rutland to Bellows Falls Commuter route to the Rutland Airport. Go to thebus.com for information.
The Ethan Allen Express to NYC departs daily from Rutland. The Rutland Connector 5:30 am M-F from Middlebury can take riders to the train station to catch the Ethan Allen.
