Discount Fares
- Passengers five (5) and under ride free with a fare-paying passenger.
- Passengers aged 6-17, age 60+ or with an ADA disability are eligible for ½ fare. Passengers can self-report their age or disability.

Fare-Free Zone (FFZ)
All TVT bus routes allow for fare-free rides within the defined Fare-Free Zones (FFZ):
BRISTOL – Villa Rd@Route 17 to the East, Hewitt Rd to the South, Shaws Plaza to the West and Bristol Works on Munsill Ave to the North.
MIDDLEBURY – The footprint of the Middlebury Shuttle route, plus Bridge School on Exchange Street to the North and Lindale Circle on Route 116 to the East.
VERGENNES – Aubuchon Hardware on Monkton Rd to the North, New Haven Rd@Route 7 to the South and Collins Aerospace on Panton Rd to the West. -
General Fare Info
- Fares are collected on all TVT bus routes except on the Middlebury Shuttle Bus and within the Fare-Free Zone (FFZ) in Middlebury
- Only exact change, TVT (ACTR) tokens or passes accepted on all buses. GMT buses do not accept TVT (ACTR) tokens.
- No fare; no ride

Token Program
TVT partners with local Human Service Agencies to provide tokens for riders in lieu of fares. TVT (ACTR) tokens are accepted for one-way trips on all TVT bus routes and the MVRTD Rutland Connector. GMT buses do not accept tokens. To determine eligibility for the token program, contact a Human Service Agency or call 211 to learn more about community resources.
