Elderly & Disabled Persons

ACTR's services for elders and persons with disabilities are free. This program is for Addison County residents who are age sixty (60) or older and/or have a disability, as described in the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act of 1991. Funds for these services are limited, however, and eligibility for the program must be approved by one of ACTR's partner agencies: Champlain Valley Agency on Aging, Counseling Service of Addison County or Addison County Home & Health Hospice.

Special services currently offered include transporting elders to meal-sites in Bristol, Bridport, Middlebury and Vergennes. We also deliver Meals-on-Wheels, as well as transporting county residents to medical, social or employment-related appointments and other services or activities.
